Senior Mechanical Engineer

Magenta is a medical device company developing the world’s smallest heart pump, meant to provide minimally-invasive support to the heart during acute episodes of dysfunction. The Elevate™ System is multi-disciplinary, involving mechanical engineering, material science, electrical engineering, software, algorithms and state-of-the-art catheter fabrication techniques.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in the medical device field to assume a leadership role within our Engineering department. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development and design of various intricate processes. They will take charge of the mechanical aspects involved in transitioning our company's projects from the R&D phase to production, particularly focusing on small series production. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for maintaining the production capabilities of our large in-house production group.

Responsibilities:

Design and lead engineering processes such as:

• Collaborate and share data with R&D, Production and other parts of engineering team to successfully integrate and implement process modification.
• Early engagement with R&D activities and support design updates to be serial-production-worthy documentation.
• Design and improve production and verification processes and fixtures.
• Support production with process-based challenges.
• Lead ECO process, support conformity reports.
• Build and maintain product's BOM, DMR and documentation (with configuration team).

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ Years of experience under relevant professional position – Must.
• B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering – Must.
• Proven experience in a medical device Company – Must.
• Proficiency in Solid works (and PDM) – Must.
• Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Experience with leading a small team – Advantage.
