What will you be doing?
A Global Payroll Specialist is a professional responsible for managing and overseeing the payroll processes and operations of an organization on a global scale. Ensuring accurate and timely payment of employee wages, taxes, and other financial obligations in compliance with local labor laws and regulations across multiple countries.
- Payroll Processing: Coordinate and execute end-to-end payroll processing for multiple countries, including collecting, verifying, and entering payroll data accurately and timely. This includes employee onboarding, salary adjustments, benefits deductions, bonuses, and other payroll-related activities.
- Compliance and Legislation: Stay up-to-date with local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements in various countries to ensure payroll practices are compliant.
- Ensure payroll calculations, deductions, and reporting align with legal requirements and maintain accurate records.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external payroll service providers, tax agencies, and other vendors to ensure smooth payroll operations. Review and validate vendor deliverables, invoices, and service level agreements to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and other departments to ensure alignment of payroll processes, policies, and procedures.
- HILAN knowledge or experience- a big advantage!
- Associate Degree in Business Administration/Finance- required (Accounting Degree preferred and payroll admin certificate)
- 5 year of experience in a global Payroll position
- Accounting experience- an advantage!
- Excellent skills using MS Word, Excel, Access, and Internet Explorer
- Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
- Excellent English
