Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Board Designer to join our Applications team . In this role, you will be responsible for designing products ,creating reference designs and proof-of-concept (POC) boards that push the boundaries of technology. If you are a creative problem solver with experience in the entire product development flow and a deep understanding of board design, mechanical design, and thermal design, we want you to be part of our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electronic Board Design: Lead the design and development of electronic boards, including Proof of Concepts (POCs) and reference designs, using industry-standard design tools, with a focus on performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
2. EMC Compliance: Ensure that all designed boards meet or exceed electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements and standards.
3. Mechanical Design: Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate boards seamlessly into the overall product design, considering factors like form factor, enclosure, and structural requirements.
4. Thermal Design: Optimize board layouts and components for effective thermal management, ensuring efficient heat dissipation and reliable operation in diverse environmental conditions.
5. Product Development: Contribute to the entire product development process, from concept to mass production, working closely with cross-functional teams and external Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
6. Collaboration: Work in close coordination with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and CM partners to ensure the successful realization of products

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in board design and product development.
• Proficiency in CAD and PCB design software (Mentor Graphics preferred).
• Strong knowledge of EMC design principles and standards.
• Familiarity with mechanical design concepts and collaboration with mechanical engineers.
• Understanding of thermal design considerations for electronics.
• Experience with product development processes, including working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
