Backend Team Lead

Vicarius is an Israeli-born cybersecurity start-up backed by tier-1 investors from San Francisco and Tel Aviv. Currently operating out of NYC and Jerusalem (+WFH), Vicarius is set to solve the biggest challenge of all: security vulnerabilities. The Vicarius powered platform, vRx, is a simple and self-serve product that helps companies identify, prioritize and fix security threats in an integrated, automated, and non-traditional manner.

After successfully closing our Series A funding round, we’re looking for a Backend Team Leader to join our team! As a Backend Team Lead, you’ll be working 50% of the time hands-on along your team members (total of 6 developers), while simultaneously managing and prioritizing their day to day work.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and test the platform API over AWS infrastructure.
• Design new components in the system with a focus on high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Create, test, manage, and review your developers code on an ongoing basis
• Work in a small team environment.
  
  

• Minimum 2+ years experience in a Team Lead role
• Minimum 5+ years of server-side development experience.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Deep knowledge in Java and Spring Framework.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services technologies (SQS, S3, EBS etc.)
• Linux bash scripting and installation of open source platforms (CentOS, Amazon Linux)
• Knowledge in relational and a-relational databases (MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch etc.).
• Knowledge in continuous integration (CI/CD) platforms (Jenkins).
• Experience troubleshooting of Apache Tomcat applications.
• Experience troubleshooting of real-time server-side application and multicomponent platforms.
