A leading medical imaging company is looking for a Software Department Manager
Role Description
Senior engineering management role leading a multidisciplinary software group developing complex, high performance systems in a medical imaging / advanced systems environment. The position combines people management, architectural leadership, and delivery ownership.
• Manage a software department of approximately 15 engineers, including 2–3 team leads
• Provide hands on technical and architectural leadership across Host, Real Time, Reconstruction, and DevOps domains
• Own software execution end to end: planning, delivery, quality, and timelines
• Lead hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and performance management
• Drive engineering standards, code quality, and continuous improvement
• Work closely with R&D teams: system engineering, product, hardware and QA
• Ensure compliance with quality processes and regulatory requirements, when relevant

• BSc in Software Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
• 10+ years of hands on software development experience
• 5+ years of engineering management experience
• Strong background in software architecture and system level design
• High technical credibility and ability to lead senior engineers
• Fluent in English and Hebrew
Advantage
• Experience in regulated medical device software; multi-disciplinary product development
• Background in real time systems, high performance computing, or hardware related software
