Product Development Lead

TextRe is a fast growing Startup in the field of climate tech, dedicated to revolutionizing the textile industry waste treatment. We are passionate about developing innovative and sustainable new recycled materials deriving from textile waste, consequently reducing Carbon Foot Print ("CFP"), by replacing virgin materials with high CFP in various industries. Our venture is motivated by developing a practical and scalable solution creating a real impact in the short term on CFP reduction.

We are now looking for an outstanding, talented and driven Polymer Scientist/Engineer to join our passionate team as Product Development Lead.

As such, you will play a crucial role in the research, development, and optimization of our R&D process. Working closely with our CTO, you will be instrumental in driving our mission to deliver high-quality, sustainable, and industry-leading products.

Responsibilities:

·      executing lab experiments and pilot trials and being present in development processes;

·      Working with the company’s CTO according to the R&D targets;

·      Learning and analyzing the textile waste characters, compositions, etc;

·      Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in polymer science and technology, incorporating relevant findings

into product development strategies;

·      working directly with textile collectors and sorters, for the company’s better understanding of the received textile

waste;

·      Conducting feasibility studies and assess the suitability of new polymer technologies for potential future projects;

·      Contributing to the intellectual property of the company by filing patents for novel polymer related innovations;

·      accompanying the whole development process, will be responsible for the whole documentation of the R&D

processes;

·      Q&A documentation, including according to acceptable test methods;

Requirements:

·      M.S.c in Chemistry/Plastic engineering in an engineer-oriented atmosphere/lab;

·      At least 2 years of R&D experience in lab practices in the related fields;

·      Experience in developing new materials, polymers and fibers (advantage);

·      Independent working capabilities and agile within working processes;

·      Excellent teamwork capabilities;

·      Excellent English in reading, writing, speaking capabilities.
