As a member of the Regulatory Affairs Team, the RA Materials Engineer is responsible for the compliance and surveillance of materials portfolio including: products environmental compliance such as but not limited to REACH, K-REACH, PROP 65, ROHS, SVHC lists, chemical waste disposal, wastewater protocols, chemical classifications, chemical emissions, and transportation of chemicals. Additionally, provide tactical direction and field support for chemicals compliance discipline for all the products, stewardship and administration of materials compliance.

What you will be doing:

· Is the Regulatory Affairs materials expert, owning the materials regulatory compliance program.

· Is the lead in monitoring, interacting, reporting and provide support to local R&D engineers and global business units, on compliance matters, and regulatory affairs.

· Coordinate and participate with local and global R&D teams on design for compliance to the relevant standards.

· Assess materials regulatory requirements and implement programs to ensure products compliance.

· Working with external bodies on requirements for WW regulatory requirements to map the needs on the materials at a corporate program.

· Identify and support external/internal laboratory testing process to meet relevant certifications.

· Manage materials data information in the various company databases, issue ECO’s, document and manage product chemical compliance data.

· Other duties as assigned.

Must have for this role:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Material Engineering required.

· 5+ years industry experience in materials compliance is required.

· Prior experience with SDS authoring SW – WERCS STUDIO - advantage

· 2-3 years experience applying- EU-REACH, K-REACH, UK-REACH, reporting & certifications.

· Strong written and verbal English language communications skills. Strong ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships on a multi-level basis.
