A well-funded innovative startup is seeking a VP R&D. The new venture is dedicated to enhancing global patient care by reducing critical adverse events in neuro-endovascular surgery. The solution revolutionizes surgical processes through the application of cutting-edge technologies such as computer vision, artificial intelligence, imaging, and proprietary data.

This role is a dynamic fusion of both hands-on and strategic leadership, calling for innovative, highly motivated, and committed individuals passionate about tackling pioneering research and development challenges directly impacting patient well-being.

Responsibilities:

Working closely with the founding team, you will be the one to craft and execute the company's R&D and product strategy, building a computer vision, AI, and imaging-based product and integrating it into diverse medical systems.

Requirements:

• M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in developing computer vision and image processing solutions.
• Track record of leading projects from initial research to production and implementation, with motivation and willingness to engage in hands-on work.
• Leadership abilities and managerial experience, driven by the ambition to future build, nurture, and mentor a high-performing team.
• Healthtech experience is a great advantage.
