The Global Oncology Medical Lead serves as a key role within Medisons' success as you will work in close collaboration with the Alliance Lead (Director) to ensure orchestration of the successful collaboration with Medison partners (Alliance Management), while acting as medical lead for the partnership and overseeing and driving key medical initiatives.
The Global Oncology Medical Lead for the respective partner is responsible to ensure a seamless and added-value collaboration with our partners is maintained at the highest quality.
You will drive medical partner related interactions and activities to ensure the ONE-Medison experience for our partners. You will be responsible from the medical aspects throughout all steps of the life cycle management of the respective asset, inclusive of activities such as the onboarding/transition, regular periodic training, medical insight gathering, medical education activities in the respective markets, conference coverage, medical brand plans coordination, periodic partner meetings and all additional activities to support successful commercialization of the asset.
The Global Oncology Medical Lead will work in close collaboration with the alliance director/lead to support key marketing initiatives for the markets, driving the brands you are championing, and providing overall added value. The Global Oncology Medical Lead will report to the VP Medical Affairs.
The regional HQ for our European Partner Markets is Zug, but we would also be open to consider candidates with relevant experience, based in any of our European affiliate locations and Israel.
Responsibilities:
- Medical Therapeutic Lead for one or several partners, ensuring medical interactions with the partner, and providing support to internal commercialization and enabling functions such as market access, commercial excellence and commercial/marketing
- Provides medical leadership for external interactions with stakeholders, including partners’ medical affairs counterparts, key opinion leaders, advisory boards, academic groups, scientific societies, and patient advocacy groups
- Represents Global Medical Affairs as needed in cross-functional Alliance Team meetings
- Works cross-functionally to develop and implement significant Global Medical Affairs activities for assets under Therapeutic Area’s scope
- Responsible for driving alignment on medical content/messaging within the organization to ensure maximal functional and regional input of assets under Therapeutic Area’s scope.
- Responsible for strategy, design and implementation of Medical Affairs initiatives
- Adjusts and develops Medical Affairs sections of the brand plans in coordination with the Commercial Alliance Lead, the Partners and the countries stakeholders
- Ensures brand plans’ Medical Affairs activities implementation roll-out at local level together with countries’ stakeholders through all available channels (events, printed materials, digital materials, web-platforms, etc) and checks their effectiveness.
- Provides medical affairs and scientific medical communication expertise to cross-functional teams for review of medical deliverables, medical information letters, and other medical-scientific documents, and provide medical affairs review of promotional material.
- Contributes through both strategic internal and external medical education support, medical/scientific information exchange and support, as well as use medical/scientific expertise to gather medical/scientific insights supporting research/data generation activities for Therapeutic Areas assets indications.
- Responsible for review and certification of assigned brand-related medical content material, adaptation of medical education, medical communication, publications and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement plans.
- Responsible for designing and coordinating medical affairs events (congresses, Ad boards, Symposiums) strategy for assets within Therapeutic Area of responsibility
- Provides medical-scientific training to internal/external stakeholders as required.
- Establishes, develops, and manages collaborative relationships with key external stakeholders and vendors.
- Advanced Degree in life sciences such as M.D, PhD or PharmD or DVM
- At least 6 years of demonstrated leadership in a pharmaceutical Medical Affairs role.
- Experience working in the field of Oncology, Rare Diseases, or Highly Innovative therapies
- Experience working on Global Products, engaging with International KOLs, and delivering on a global value proposition for the assets under the Therapeutic Area scope
- Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical industry dynamics and trends, including a good understanding of the life cycle of a brand from cross-functional perspectives (e.g. marketing, pricing and reimbursement, supply chain).
- Previous medical affairs experience in product launches, planning across markets and cross-functional coordination, an advantage
- Project management skills and good business acumen.
- Fluency in English
- Proven experience in and understanding of multiple regional/country markets
- Deep understanding of the brand(s)/therapeutic area and the stakeholders’ needs
- Fluency in more than one language
- Mobile, willing to travel as needed.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to successfully maintain professional and trusting relationships.

- Ability to work with senior members of Medison Partners, international vendors, etc.
