The Role

We are seeking a seasoned Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Manager to lead our IT department's efforts in establishing and maintaining a robust GRC framework. The GRC Manager will be responsible for ensuring that IT strategies and processes align with corporate governance standards, managing IT risks effectively, and ensuring that the organization complies with all relevant IT regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Governance:
• Lead the development and implementation of IT governance frameworks and policies.
• Collaborate with IT leaders to ensure that governance initiatives align with business objectives and IT strategy.
• Risk Management:
• Identify, assess, and prioritize IT risks to the organization.
• Develop, manage, and refine the IT risk register, ensuring timely updates and reviews.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk mitigation activities.
• Compliance:
• Oversee IT's adherence to regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
• Ensure that the organization is prepared for internal and external IT audits and manage the audit process.
• Coordinate with external agencies, auditors, and stakeholders for compliance assessments and audits.
• Keep abreast of relevant IT regulations and standards and ensure timely communication and training for the IT team.
• Reporting:
• Regularly report on GRC activities, risks, and achievements to IT leadership and relevant stakeholders.
• Provide input to the executive team on GRC issues and trends that may impact the organization's objectives or reputation
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with other departments to ensure that GRC efforts are integrated across the organization.
• Act as the point of contact for IT GRC issues, questions, and guidance.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and changes in regulations related to IT GRC.
• Promote a culture of awareness and continuous improvement within the IT department regarding governance, risk management, and compliance.
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications such as CISA, CISM, or CRISC are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in IT governance, risk, and compliance.
• Proven knowledge of IT GRC frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and work with diverse teams.
