Responsibilities

• Provide architectural and people leadership across a number of interdependent engineering teams, architects, systems and offerings.
• Influence the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems. Drive system and platform thinking within development teams
• Bring deep Payments and Fintech domain expertise and lead the teams through innovation
• Key member of the team in regards to representing technology-driven opportunities and implications of various business and offering strategies and tactics
• Strong technical documentation and presentation skills to communicate architectural and design options, educating development teams, business users, and senior leadership
• Build strong teams - set and evangelize vision, facilitative leadership, attract and retain key talent.

Qualifications

1. 8+ years’ experience designing and leading architectural efforts for web, software or mobile applications
2. Expertise in FinTech and how technology can be used to solve problems (expertise in the Small Business finance space - a plus)
3. Experience with cloud, SaaS, big data, or analytics and machine learning
4. Boundaryless leadership experience: applying the nuances of influencing based on the situation, knowing when to push and when to ease, driving through designs, ideas, and roadmaps.
5. Seasoned and ambidextrous leadership - able to balance short and long, inspire and coach.
6. Excellent communication skills: demonstrated ability to present to all levels of leadership, including executives.
7. Experience in conceptualizing, launching, and driving business and product strategies and multi-year roadmaps.
8. Expertise in modern technology stacks, API design, microservices, public cloud, and designing for resilience and operational excellence.
9. Expertise in Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies
10. BS/MS in computer science, or equivalent work experience
