BI Team Lead

DESCRIPTION

At Nexar, the BI Team Lead will be at the forefront of establishing a robust Business Intelligence team. This role is pivotal in defining key performance indicators, creating insightful reports, and ensuring that data-driven decisions propel the company forward. The BI Team Lead will not only delve deep into large datasets but also ensure that these insights are communicated effectively across various teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ownership of Company-wide Data: As the BI Team Lead, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end data processes across the company. This pivotal role requires:

• Comprehensive Data Management: With vast amounts of data at our disposal, you'll ensure that it's meticulously processed, organized, and made readily available to serve the diverse needs of all departments.
• Deep Data Expertise: Your extensive knowledge in data processing, analysis, and presentation will be crucial. This role demands a profound understanding of data intricacies and the tools and techniques to manage it effectively.
• Accountability: Owning the data means being accountable for its accuracy, timeliness, and relevance. You'll stand as the primary point of accountability for the integrity and utility of our data assets.

Your leadership will be foundational in ensuring that Nexar's data-driven approach is not just maintained but continually elevated, driving informed decision-making across all facets of the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

• Have a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in data work, or a Master's Degree and 4 years of experience.
• Have led projects for at least 4 years.
• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL, encompassing complex queries and functions
• Proven experience in designing and implementing ETL processes, ensuring data accuracy and availability
• Familiarity with leading BI tools, with a preference for experience in Looker and DBT.
• Hands-on experience with major data platforms and data lakes, notably Databricks and SnowflakeWork well with other teams and be able to explain tech stuff to non-tech people.
• Can manage multiple tasks at once and decide which ones are most important.
• Can lead a team of top-performing members.

• Know how to use Python for automating tasks.
