We are looking for a Head of Data and Security Research to lead our security research and data science efforts. In this central role, you will lead data scientists and security researchers to find innovative ways to detect and stop identity threats. The team is also responsible for vulnerability research and has presented at major conferences worldwide. In this role, you will work closely with customers, product management, and R&D and report directly to the CTO.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data scientists and security researchers in detecting and stopping identity threats
• Develop and execute a proactive research strategy to stay ahead of emerging threats and vulnerabilities
• Lead data science research efforts
• Guide the team in finding and developing new identity-related vulnerabilities and attack techniques
• Collaborate with customers, product management, and R&D to translate research findings into product enhancements
• Build marketing material based on the research and present it at conferences
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team to explore new methodologies and technologies in threat research and data science

Requirements

• 6 years of experience in security research and data science, machine learning, and statistics
• Extraordinary leadership and managerial skills and experience - must
• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent military experience
• Wide knowledge of information security, a deep understanding of security practices, vulnerabilities, defenses, and network protocols
• Reverse engineering and Vulnerability research experience – a big advantage
• Data engineering background – an advantage
• Experience working with customers – an advantage
• Creative thinker, has the ability to quickly dive into new, unfamiliar challenges
• Good communication skills, ability to explain and simplify complex ideas, including in English
