OverviewThe Multi-purpose Vehicle Mechanic Supervisor (MVMS) is responsible for the overall performance of the Vehicle Maintenance Services department including scheduling of personnel, work supervision and quality control. The MVMS shall ensure work is completed safely and efficiently according to the performance work statement. Service provided shall include, performing inspections, repairs and maintenance of general-purpose vehicles, and light and heavy-duty construction equipment, materiel control and fleet management. The MVMS is responsible for managing parts, labor, tools, and equipment required to maintain and manage the USAF owned vehicle fleet IAW the standards established in AFI 24-302, Technical Order 36-1-191, applicable vehicle technical orders, and/or manufacture service manuals. MVMS is responsible to ensure vehicles released from vehicle maintenance meet the standards delineated in the aforementioned technical orders and guidance. MVMS shall ensure Government owned vehicles and equipment are maintained IAW standards in a safe and serviceable condition, with the least expenditure of funds and materiel. MVMS will also perform Fleet Management and Analysis Services.Responsibilities
- Responsible for management, execution, and personnel supervision of associated maintenance requirements such as inspection, diagnostics, repair, modification, and data collection for the vehicle and equipment in accordance with the performance work statement.
- Shall plan, organize, inspect, and direct vehicle management activities.
- Shall ensure adequate personnel, tools; equipment, spare parts, and work space are available to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Shall perform maintenance activities responsible for vehicle repair, analysis, training, and parts procurement to ensure effective use of maintenance resources.
- Analyze maintenance reports, past and current performance, and inspection reports to ensure cost effective operations, timely preventive maintenance, and repairs of vehicular equipment. Initiates corrective actions to resolve problems, prevent delays and guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Shall accomplish FM&A functions IAW AFI 24-302 and other applicable publications/directives.
- Shall provide FM&A services which require extensive experience with DPAS Maintenance Modules, LIMS-EV, AFEMS, IMDS, and fleet management functions.
- Responsible for maintaining a comprehensive safety program in compliance with OSHA, Vectrus, and United States Air Force (USAF) requirements.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.
- Responsible for maintaining a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program.
- Shall be capable of using diagnostic test equipment, and of accurately diagnosing and repairing assigned electronic controlled equipment and shall repair, adjust, overhaul, or replace major assemblies or sub-assemblies such as power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering assemblies, tracks, hydraulic system components, and equipment attachments as needed.
- Shall ensure assigned tool kits are maintained and inventoried daily.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.
- Responsible for completing and maintaining all required training programs.
- Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).
- Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must have experience with DPAS Maintenance Modules, LIMS-EV, AFEMS, IMDS, and fleet management functions.
- Must have a current, valid U.S Passport and U.S Driver’s License.
- Must have an international driver's license and capability of obtaining an Air Force flight line driver’s license.
- Must have and maintain a valid U.S SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
- Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
- Candidates must successfully complete both online and hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense training. Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD provided protective gear.
- Shall have a minimum of ten years of experience in in supervisory and management of a vehicle fleet and/or vehicle management, consistent with the Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) 2T390.
- Management experience to include: supervision of employees, completed required reports, and dealing professionally with the customer.
- Must have two years of experience working on 25K Halverson vehicle types.
- Must have functional knowledge of ICOPARS, LIMS-EV, DPAS, ETIMS, AFEMS and IMDS systems.
- Great communication, teamwork, decision making, and supervisory skills.
- Must be skilled with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Able and willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements.
- Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.
