Project Implementation Release Manager

What's the job:

In this role your goal is to provide the tools and services needed to help project implementation teams manage and deploy code and implement into other Sandbox environments, to production.

In this position, you will:

• Schedule, manage, and coordinate releases across multiple applications within various portfolios across different teams and projects.
• Construct a release calendar for the different projects to have a centralized view of all releases.
• Define a release sequence project plan.
• Manage and mitigate risks and resolve issues regarding release quality and schedule.
• Continuously monitor projects’ deployment cycles and provide reports about their progress.
• Ensure all team members are adhering to engineering best practices as well as enforcing DevOps policies.
• Monitor the release process and collect feedback from the different teams as well as customers for review.
• Make improvements on a regular basis to the release process.
• Manage regular release cycles containing medium to high number of projects.
• Assure milestone adherence and approve mitigation plans when necessary
• Report release health directly to committee through weekly status meetings
• Schedule and facilitate all Release Management meetings
• Work with multiple IT teams, project managers and customer stakeholders to create and manage detailed release implementation plan.
• Collect Lessons learned from stakeholders and ensure applied in the future releases.
  
  

What you have:

• Bonus - 3 years of Salesforce implementation hands on experience, including usage of Salesforce deployment tools
• Deployment tools hands-on experience and knowledge with one or more of the following tools: Gearset, Copado, etc…
• Ability to work across different teams involved in the software development processes and Salesforce project implementation and provide support to developers/implementors as they set up test environments.
• Computer science/industrial engineering or a related field background with advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle or information technology project deployment lifecycle.
• Technical skills with thorough knowledge of feature toggles, branch handling, continuous integration and continuous delivery, while using Bitbucket, Git etc…
• Ability to solve any issues that arise – strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities to resolve any cross-functional team issues
• Experience with defining and implementing the best practices and methodologies depending on the project requirements.
• Proven experience of working under pressure.
• Familiarity with release management tools:
• Jenkins/ Ansible /Chef/CircleCI
• Proven experience with reducing inefficiencies by creating consistent automated processes which result in high-quality releases.
