Your Role
As a competitive intelligence specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping our competitive strategy, specifically focusing on cloud security. You will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing competitor products, pricing and packaging, marketing strategies and messages. You will help to differentiate Tenable cloud security offerings from the competition and package the information in a way that sales and non-technical teams can easily understand and leverage.
Your Opportunity
- Competitor analysis: in-depth research and analysis of cloud security products, capabilities, features, strengths and weaknesses
- Industry analysis: stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the cloud security landscape and emerging cloud security technology and trends
- Product differentiation: identify unique selling points and differentiators for Tenable cloud security products compared to competitors and package this information in a clear and value-driven manner
- Sales enablement: work with sales, marketing and sales enablement teams to create battlecards, sales collateral, training sessions and other tools to enable customer-facing teams to drive wins
- Field insights: gather feedback from sales teams, customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to identify common pain points and challenges, provide insights and recommendations to product management for enhancing our offerings
- You have 8+ years of B2B technology experience within cloud security and cybersecurity spaces is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of the cloud security landscape
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and compare cloud security products to articulate their strengths and weaknesses
- Experience in product marketing, competitive intelligence, strategy, or sales engineering roles
- Passionate about research
- You have built and implemented competitive intelligence programs and sales tools
- A strategic thinker with the ability to consolidate information from multiple sources into relevant, easy-to-use, and actionable insights for different audiences and stakeholders
- A good communicator
- A BA or BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent work experience is preferred
