We are looking for a Senior Data Base Administrator to join our Cloud production DBA team in Israel. This is an amazing opportunity to work on large-scale database both on private and public clouds involving multiple DB technologies and we would love to speak with you if you have skills in Oracle and additional DB technologies on production environments.

About You – Experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, or related degree (or at least 4 years of equivalent relevant experience).
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle DBA on large scale productions.
• 1+ year experience with MySQL.
• Familiar with Linux and Shell Script

It would be great if you also had:

• Familiar with other databases such as PostgreSQL/ MSSQL/MongoDB
• Experience with SQL tuning
• Familiar with Oracle enterprise manager
• Familiar with AWS and RDS

What will you be doing in this role?

• Support hundreds of Productions Data Base.
• Proactively monitor for systems health and performance
• Support the development team with process design and SQL tuning.
• Develop Procedures/automation/kits to be used by support/ cloud production engineers.
• Support additional systems based on MSSQL/Sybase/PostgreSQL and other DB technologies.

The Service you will be providing:

• Support multiple Data Base technologies on large-scale production systems both on Private cloud (multiple Data centers worldwide) and AWS.
• Explore new technologies and features.
• Collaborate with development groups, infrastructure engineers, cloud-production team and others.

About the Team

Our global team consists of 6 experienced DBA’s supporting multiple DB technologies. We have a great skill set in relational and NOSQL databases.

We seek to be proactive, and service- oriented to our internal/external customers.

Working closely with the development and automation teams to determine best practices and procedures.

Supported by tiers 1 and 2 support, cloud production engineers, and NOC.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, working in a hybrid model based is in our Jerusalem, Israel office.
