DevOps Team Lead

A blockchain company, based digital courier platform that mirrors the traditional process for transferring original paper documents ⁠— electronically. Their solution enables instant, encrypted and authenticated transfer of Bills of Lading and other unique digital documents. The platform is designed to meet the needs of every member along the supply chain, from the smallest importer to the largest shipping carriers and banks.

The company is looking for a DevOps Team Lead to help in building a game changing platform which enables the transfer of trading documents in a digital manner, while the ownership of the document is managed by a Blockchain network.

The DevOps Team Leader will play a pivotal role in leading our team of DevOps engineers, and the designing and implementing of the DevOps initiatives. This role requires the magical balance between strategic and innovative mindset alongside strong hands-on capabilities.

Responsibilities:

● Manage, train and mentor the DevOps team

● Manage and monitor complex cloud environments, ensuring scalability, availability and security.

● Design, develop, implement, and maintain the company's CI/CD pipeline.

● Plan and schedule the DevOps tasks and allocate resources for each sprint.

● Take full ownership of planning, execution, and maintenance of ongoing DevOps tasks.

● Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles.

● Collaborate with development teams to implement best practices for automated builds, tests, and deployments.

● Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration and manage containerized applications using Docker.

● Develop automation tools for recurring processes and tasks.

● Debug network issues in layers 3 and 4 to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and connectivity problems.

● Work in Linux environments, leveraging GIT source control for code management.

● Collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to address infrastructure-related issues and improve system performance.

Requirements:

● 6 years of experience in DevOps roles

● Previous experience as Team Lead

● Work experience with Scrum Agile methodologies

● Strong leadership skills to inspire and guide the DevOps team to achieve goals and objectives

● Proven experience in managing complex cloud environments, preferably AWS

● Strong proficiency in Kubernetes and containerized applications, particularly Docker

● Extensive scripting experience in bash, Python, or Groovy

● Demonstrated ability to debug network issues in layers 3 and 4

● Proficiency in CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins

● Experience working in Linux environments and utilizing GIT source control.

● Solid understanding and practical knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, CDK or Terraform

● Excellent communication skills in both English and Hebrew, enabling effective collaboration with team members.
