NPI Senior Engineer

The company develops IoT hardware and software water-management solutions for the real-estate and industrial sectors.

The devices are installed in buildings – such as the Empire State Building and on construction sites. The system monitors usage patterns and uses Machine Learning, signal processing and statistical analysis techniques to detect anomalies and prevent leaks by shutting off water. The customer prevents massive damage to facilities – which could reach millions of dollars per incident and save 20%-25% of their ongoing water consumption.

Job Brief

The company is seeking an experienced NPI Senior Engineer with a strong hardware background and up to 7 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have a degree in electronic engineering, significant expertise in production jig and tools design, and a proven track record of successful new product introduction (NPI) projects. This role is a critical part of our operational group and requires excellent leadership and project management skills, hands-on technical capabilities, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for hardware products, ensuring seamless transition from design to production.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to develop and execute NPI strategies.
• Design, develop, and optimize production jigs and tools to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
• Interface with upper management to communicate project progress, risks, and opportunities effectively.
• Lead the Project Management Team (PMT) responsible for coordinating NPI activities, tracking milestones, and managing resources.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of technical Statements of Work (SOW)
• Drive hands-on participation in prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of hardware components and systems.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in hardware engineering, NPI & Board design
• Proven experience in successfully leading NPI projects from concept to production launch.
• Proficiency in designing and optimizing production jigs, fixtures, and tools to enhance manufacturing processes.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage project timelines and resources.
• Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
