Autodesk TLV is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and self motivated senior software architect who will be a key stakeholder and a strong influencer in our site and beyond.

As an architect in Autodesk, you will play a strategic role in designing and building architecture solutions and recommended improvements; You will work closely with the developers, mentor and guide them. You will be part of the site’s engineering leadership and take an active part in shaping and driving our engineering culture, processes and practices.

As well as having an internal impact, you will also play a critical role in the global ecosystem; Participate in various forums, drive cross platform initiatives, communicate broadly and represent the engineering needs and feedback coming from the teams.

Requirements

• 10+ Hands-on experience with backend software development technologies and frameworks, expertise in NodeJS, Python, and AWS
• Broad knowledge in software architecture concepts
• Demonstration of high levels of ownership and accountability
• Proven architectural experience with cloud-based systems and micro-services
• Ability to design and implement complex software systems
• Experience with API architecture and management
• Broad knowledge in data modeling design, entity relationship and query analysis and optimization
• Deep knowledge and experience in AWS infrastructure, services and tools
• Great interpersonal skills and communication skills. Ability to drive broad consensus and alignment across teams and GEOs
• Excellent communication skills - both verbally and written
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to details
• Ability to work in a global and distributed environment
  
  

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership within the organization by creating and reviewing high-quality architecture designs, providing technical solutions and leading technical discussions.
• Take an active part in the global architect forum by representing TLV site, leading cross org initiative and communicating decisions and action-items to the relevant people.
• Work closely with different stakeholders: product managers, developers, tech leads, etc to translate business needs and product requirements to well-documented engineering solutions.
• Ensure the solution implementations achieve the desired quality attributes, such as performance and optimization, scalability, extensibility, security, and resiliency.
• Be a role model for applying software development best practices.
• Deep understanding of the business domain both technically and product wise. Understanding the challenges, customers pain points and needs and the competitor landscape.
• Escort the dev teams during implementation. Providing support and help as needed.
• Mentor the tech leads and senior developers.
• Lead and facilitate the TLV site tech-lead forum
• Maintain close relations with ACS chief architect and the global architects community. Make sure your actions and decisions are transparent and well communicated broadly.
• Take an active part in shaping and implementing our engineering excellence guidelines and KPI’s.
• Initiate plans and solutions that will push the organization forward and take us to the next step in achieving our goals and KPI’s
• Put efforts in creating broad consensus, resolving conflicts and maintaining an effective, healthy and pleasant workspace environment.
