Software Quality Assurance Automation Testing Engineer

Novocure is a global medical device company with R&D based in Haifa. The company is growing quickly as it commercializes TTFields therapy: a novel treatment for aggressive cancers using alternating electric fields.As part of the effort to extend Novocure’s Quality Assurance department, we are looking for a Software Automation Testing Engineer to write scripts and create automation environments for repeated tests. Using different automation tools, you will design, evaluate and deploy effective test automation solutions. Your goal is to automate as much of the testing effort as possible with a minimum set of code who will act as the primary software quality assurance testing point of contact for medical device software development efforts with multi-disciplinary teams.This is a full-time, exempt position located in our Haifa Israel office and reports to the Software Quality Assurance Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain test plans, and manual and automated test strategies for web, mobile, and PC applications
• Manage software bug tracking and perform bug trend analysis
• Maintain strong communication across departments to develop needs analysis, requirements, and operational planning
• Ensure the successful deployment of software products into the market
• Provide training and guidance to team members related to the Automation testing process
• Working with the DevOps team to build automation infrastructure that integrates with existing development practices/needs.

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent

• 3+ years of experience in a software QA automation role.
• Hands-on background in software development
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Proficient with one or more programming languages and tools (e.g., Python, Java Script, Postman, Selenium)
• Thorough working knowledge of software testing automation methodologies and the testing life cycle
• Top-level knowledge of test types and strategies: unit, integration, system, performance, stress, etc.
• Artificial intelligence skilled – advantage
• Skilled in managing traceability matrixes between SDLC documents
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum as well as the waterfall development process and the implications coming from the regulatory standards
• Excellent Documentation Skills and experience operating under Document Control
• Excellent English level (oral, written).
• Excellent internal communication skills
