Senior Software Application Engineer, DPU

The Network Application Engineering team is looking for a hardworking, keen Senior Software Engineer to join the team and support groundbreaking technology. As a Software Application Engineer one will have a real impact on the business, while working closely with our customers and R&D teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead customers support for DOCA Data Center SDK and framework for NVIDIA Bluefield DPU.
• Enable and support DOCA reference applications and their adoption in cloud deployments, super computers, and Data Centers.
• Participate in product definitions and create powerful collaterals for our customers.
• Gain our customers’ trust and understand their needs.
• Work closely with various R&D teams to ensure feature implementation for our customers.
• Lead complex critical issues with customers, build and lead engineering task force, build debug strategies and lead them to execution, while presenting to customer.
• Analyze and evaluate complementary and competitive products, technologies and solutions.
  
  

• B.Sc. or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a relevant area.
• 6+ years of storage software experience or similar at a technology company
• 3+ years of System-on-Chip (SoC) software experience or similar at a technology company
• Sound understanding of data center technologies including software defined storage, data reduction, data-at-rest encryption, SmartNICs, DPUs, virtualization, cloud-native, orchestration platforms, service mesh, etc. Knowledge of leading open source projects in the storage space and data center acceleration domains is highly desirable
• Self-starter, with a 'can-do' attitude and ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with customers to derive requirements, explain the product and support application solution.
• Outstanding communication & presentation abilities and eloquent English
  
  

• Entrepreneurial mentality with the ability to solve problems and achieve results
• Strong background in embedded storage solutions and host networking technologies
• Strong background in bringing SW products to the Cloud
• Experience with cloud networking and infrastructure software: Linux, vSphere, SPDK, CEPH, IPsec, K8s
• Background with CUDA or other NVIDIA software libraries
• Experience working on embedded systems and ARM processor specifically
• Good documentation ability
