Role

• The Regional Security Officer (RSO) is the Corporate Security regional lead responsible for the security of personnel, physical assets, and information in both physical and digital form. Responsible for developing and overseeing policies and programs used in the mitigation and/or reduction of compliance, operational, strategic, and financial security risk strategies relating to the personnel/staff, any assets, and other property from a regional level.
• Making sure the company is compliant with local, national and regional regulations, including but not limited to PCI, ISO or NIST standards. Map security controls back to established standards to reduce risk exposure
• Responsible for the Security controls within HGEM Corporate Offices, ensures those controls are implemented effectively
• Supporting, implementing, and maintaining security processes and policies, identifying and reducing risks, limiting liability and exposure to informational, physical risk.
• Understands incident response processes and participates in analysis, containment, and eradication of security events and incidents
• Implementing and overseeing strategies to assess and mitigate risk, safeguarding the regional business.
• Monitors regional security performance and makes recommendations to improve the regional security strategy and posture
• Stakeholder during exercises and incidents in Office Response Teams and Crisis Management responses within the HGEM area
  
  

All About You

The ideal candidate for this position should:

• Knowledge of payments industry preferably in products related to safety and security of the payment ecosystem. Experience and understanding of existing and emerging cyber security threats, mitigation techniques, security policy development and execution are a plus
• Highly collaborative and self-driven individual who will need to manage relationships across multiple functional areas, regions and executives - at times remotely with limited supervisory support.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify key issues, structure analysis and synthesize complex information, and provide recommendations effectively
• Experience delivering presentations and engaging with senior leadership
• Leadership and mentoring skills to help advance the overall capabilities of the department
• Strong relationship building skills and collaborative style to enable success across multiple partners
• Proven track record of delivering security services and operations at a regional level
• Certification in cyber security or physical
• Be a strong, confident, and exacting writer and speaker, able to communicate your vision and roadmap effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders
