Summary

The DAQ group is responsible for the ML module evaluation of various depth algorithms and software frameworks.

You will be exposed to all aspects of the technology and require to understand the full system’s behavior in order to characterize and resolve system-level issues, typically by applying multi-disciplinary approach.

In this highly versatile role as a Senior Data Scientist & Evaluation Engineer, you will help define Apple's next generation of video engineering solutions for our extraordinary products. The insights that you will provide, by analyzing & evaluate big data, will have a direct impact on Apple's products advise strategic directions and improve user experience.

Key Qualifications

5+ years experience as a data scientist or any similar role

Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining and data analysis

Experience in designing & evaluating system level features in a ML based algorithms

Proficient with Python

Experience in visualizing and presenting data insight

Experience in Optics and imaging system

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Proven track record to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating innovation and excellence

Proactive with proven creative and critical thinking capabilities

Ability to lead multiple tasks and prioritize work accordingly

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE ARE:

Use-case driven tests & KPI definition methodology

Work closely with variety of technical leaders to use big data with deep system & algorithmic understanding to drive to deliver practical insights to relevant decision-makers and assist in sophisticated problem solving

Using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in sophisticated data sets that could be useful for the diagnosis and prediction

Cross functional collaborating to find opportunities for process improvements, system modifications and develop policies for data governance

Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources

Develop and implement scalable and flexible software tools that will improve data gathering, evaluation, processing, and analysis

Education & Experience

MSc or higher in CS / EE / other relevant engineering degree
