This includes the ability to make short-term and long-term trade-offs through the right prioritization frameworks and a strong design intuition. The right candidate will be able to drive growth while maintaining a high bar for user experience. 
• A deeply analytical mindset that leads to the right questions being asked. Sometimes, there’s data, but oftentimes, there’s only instinct to fall back on to make decisions. The right candidate will wield both. 
• The ability to communicate effectively and keep the teams (both cross-time zones) aligned at all times. This person will be able to frame a discussion with the right level of detail based on the audience. He/she will strive to over-communicate and independently resolve gaps/conflicts that arise. 

 Responsibilities 

• Own product lifecycle, from discovery to implementation through analysis and iteration, for key product initiatives focusing on acquisition, retention, and engagement
• Work with key stakeholders to understand business goals and gather requirements; identify product additions, changes, and improvements that will support these goals and requirements
• Collaborate with the Lead PM to help define the product vision and strategy
• Develop and maintain a prioritized product backlog
• Write product requirements and user stories, and communicate those effectively across teams
• Gain user insight by structuring and running rigorous A/B tests, defining and observing qualitative user studies, and utilizing quantitative market research
• Use data-driven approaches to make decisions and continuously improve the product
• Define, monitor, and report on key product metrics and review them with senior management
• Work with the engineering and design teams to deliver product experiences that delight students and help determine the best implementation methods for product initiatives.
• Work with the marketing and customer service teams to ensure product features are well-communicated

Basic Qualifications: 

• 6+ years of relevant work experience as a product manager and leader, with substantial outreach to millions of users with a demonstrated history of creating impactful consumer experiences.
• Strong B2C experience, expertise in leading mobile apps, and understanding the unique challenges and opportunities they present (2 years+)
• B.S. with at least a minor in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in running A/B tests
• Experience with working in a global company
• Strong affinity with the education sector and understanding of student behavior.
