Engineering Project Manager

AIR is developing a unique electric plane (eVTOL) for the private, logistics, and defense markets.

We are rapidly growing with over 1,000 pre-orders for our private aircraft and active fulfillment of defense and logistics orders. Our team is expanding as we prepare to launch testing operations with the United States Air Force (USAF) and plan for mass production, working with top aerospace and automotive subcontractors worldwide.

About the job:

We are seeking a talented Engineering Project Manager to oversee critical engineering and development projects.

This role requires strong technical skills to navigate complex engineering issues across diverse technologies and industries, in addition to knowledge of production methods and tooling.

As the primary POC between AIR's engineering team and global automotive and aerospace suppliers, you will manage overall project execution:

• Set up projects autonomously by defining goals, milestones, and selecting suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships, including contracts, schedules, budgets, and engineering issues.
• Overseeing logistics, production, tooling, and supply chain planning.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of project management experience in development projects - mandatory.
• Strong technical background in hardware, including batteries, electronic systems, motors, composite materials, and mechanical design - mandatory.
• Proven experience in managing subcontractors - mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Fluent in English.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Highly adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
