PROJECT STRATEGY MANAGER

For a key Institutional Engineering company operating in the construction of large metropolitan infrastructures, We are looking for a PROJECT STRATEGY MANAGER (Urban Transport Systems and Railways).

The selected candidate will collaborate within the Mobility Systems Department, reporting to the in line manager, mainly dealing in the following specialized areas, applied to urban transport systems (subways, light railways, tramways) and railways, with – inter alia – the following responsibilities:

• communicating with stakeholders to ensure that they are aware of project status and any issues that may arise along the way
• creating a project plan that outlines all major milestones, tasks, and deliverables
• coordinating with internal teams to ensure that team members have what they need to complete their work on time
• managing project budgets and expenses, and communicating regularly with procurement departments to ensure that funds are available when needed
• coordinating with outside vendors such as contractors or consultants as needed for specific tasks or phases of projects
• coordinating stakeholder expectations to manage risk and ensure success
• evaluating project scope, schedule, and budget requirements to ensure alignment with organizational priorities
• monitoring project performance to ensure that projects are meeting objectives within budget and on schedule
• validate program vision, goals, scope, value proposition with Project director & Program Manager
• define program sub-component project plan(s), resources & timeline
• review project plans(s) with Project Director/Program Manager and all other team members involved in the project activities
• collaborate to define the measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
• monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion
• proactively identify project risks, resolution steps and escalation needs
• establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders on the progress, status and success metrics of the project and key deliverables
• review the quality of the work completed with the project team/leadership on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.

Ideal candidate profile

Training: Master's Degree in business administration, management, engineering or equivalent

Professional experience: professional experience of at least 10 years in Engineering Companies or Design Firms, for activities similar to those described above

Language skills: mastery of the English language is required, with excellent ability to read technical texts and a good ability to write and express oneself. Knowledge of other languages is also an element of evaluation.

Skills: predisposition to interpersonal relationships, attitude to teamwork, dynamism, autonomy, initiative and tenacity. Good knowlege of international technical codes and regulations.

Other: availability for short/long trips, even abroad.
