Environmental Consultant

For major development projects, including national infrastructure projects, we are seeking an Environmental Consultant to manage, support, and lead environmental quality initiatives.
The role involves working with multiple stakeholders, influencing environmental policy advancement, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Job Description:

Manage, coordinate, and promote environmental activities within the Development Division
Provide support and guidance on environmental matters to division employees
Responsible for distributing and implementing environmental guidelines among employees and contractors
Monitor, document, and report environmental incidents, disturbances, and nuisances (e.g., noise, odors, etc.)
Establish control, documentation, and supervision mechanisms to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines
Promote awareness of environmental aspects among managers and employees within the division
Coordinate discharge permit requests and improve discharge data in collaboration with project managers
Collect and document data on waste generated from projects
Develop and implement environmental procedures in accordance with legal requirements
Provide support on environmental compliance and enforcement, with emphasis on large-scale projects
Participate in professional forums and environmental meetings
Combined field and office work, including frequent travel across the country

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Sciences / Geography – mandatory
Proven experience in environmental or infrastructure projects – advantage
Experience in training employees and delivering professional content – advantage
High proficiency in Hebrew (written and spoken) – mandatory
Good command of English – mandatory
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and strong stakeholder management skills
