Backend Team Lead

We’re looking for an impact-driven, experienced software engineering team lead to join our Platform Engineering area.

As a Backend Team Lead, you will be leading a tight-knit and dynamic team of engineers that takes pride in high coding standards and modern development practices.

As a leader in the Platform Engineering group, you will be responsible for serving other engineers here at Melio, by providing them with wider solutions, generic services, Building templates and continually improving the Developer experience of more than 200 engineers This position requires an experienced team leader that achieved success in their previous roles as a technical leader, and that wants to add a deeper challenge, impacting other engineers besides their own team.

Minimum Qualifications To Apply For This Role

• 7+ years of professional experience as a software engineer with backend development
• 2+ years experience leading a team of engineers.
• Experience in continuous delivery including automated tests.
• A deep understanding of production systems and the architecture of web products.
• Proactive team player with a desire to impact our engineering team, our product, and our full engineering CI/CD pipeline
• Independent, resourceful, and creative.
  
  

Preferred qualifications (If you have those, we see it as an advantage, but it's not a must)

• Experience with NodeJS
• Working in Serverless environment
• Working closely with Devops engineers and CI/CD pipline
  
  

How your day is going to look, what you will be doing?

• Lead a team of backend engineers while doing hands-on technical work.
• Set goals, define tasks, and manage timelines to execute a roadmap.
• Work closely with other Engineering Managers, Tech leaders and Architects.
• Take an active role in hiring for your team and for Melio in general.
