Thermal–Mechanical Engineer

A leading defense technology company is seeking an experienced Thermal–Mechanical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team developing advanced complex systems. The role involves full ownership of thermal and mechanical aspects within integrated engineered products.

Position Overview:
The engineer will be responsible for thermal and mechanical design, analysis, and engineering support of complex systems and subsystems, including development, integration, testing, and ongoing support throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
Thermal design of cooling and environmental control solutions for complex systems
Mechanical design and 3D modeling of assemblies and components
Perform thermal and fluid-related calculations and system-level analyses (heat loads, flow characteristics, performance evaluation, etc.)
Support integration with electrical, control, and system engineering disciplines
Plan and execute environmental and performance tests; analyze results and verify compliance with requirements
Provide engineering support to production, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Prepare technical documentation including specifications, procedures, and reports
Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and engineering improvements

7+ years of relevant engineering experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (thermal / thermodynamics specialization – advantage)
Strong background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and mechanical design
Experience in multidisciplinary system design and integration
Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks or equivalent)
Knowledge of manufacturing processes for metals (e.g., aluminum, stainless steel)
Experience working in complex, regulated or mission-critical environments – advantage
High-level technical English
