PDM Administrator

The PDM Administrator Opportunity:Veev is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a PDM (Product Data Management) Administrator. As a PDM Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and organizing the product data within our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient storage, retrieval, and distribution of product data throughout its lifecycle.Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain a centralized product data management system, ensuring all relevant stakeholders have access to the latest product information.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure data integrity and consistency.
• Create and enforce data management policies and procedures to standardize practices across the organization.
• Organize and catalog product data, including drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and related documentation.
• Ensure data accuracy by conducting regular audits and performing data quality checks.
• Provide support and training to team members on PDM tools and processes.
• Continuously improve the efficiency of data management workflows and identify opportunities for automation.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in product data management.

Requirements, Knowledge, and Experience:

• 3 years related experience processing technical documentation associated with Manufacturing and/or Technology within a product development or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of product data management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., PDM/PLM systems, package and release / CM).
• Proficiency in data management practices, including data modeling, data classification, and metadata management.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and completeness of product data.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to product data management (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with CAD software - specifically SolidWorks, and related file formats.
• Experience in implementing and administering PDM/PLM systems is highly desirable, with a strong emphasis on SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
• Knowledge of other CAD software and file formats (e.g., AutoCAD) is advantageous.
