Software Quality Assurance Team Lead

Novocure is a global medical device company with R&D based in Haifa. The company is growing quickly as it commercializes TTFields therapy: a novel treatment for aggressive cancers using alternating electric fields.As part of the effort to extend Novocure’s Quality Assurance department, we are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Team Lead, who will lead the team of SQA Engineers and testers, coordinate tasks with multi-disciplinary teams and be a hands-on contributor to ensure that all software products meet the highest quality standards.This is a full-time, exempt position located in our Haifa Israel office and reports to the Software Quality Assurance Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform resource capacity planning and conduct meetings with the manager and projects stakeholders
• Coordinate all testing activities between SQA Team/Development
• Proactively raise, escalate, and communicate quality issues and potential project risks
• Perform project and non-project-related tasks and activities to support the department's goals and objectives
• Monitoring and reporting on testing progress and results
• Review test plans and reports
• Constantly look for ways to improve the SQA process and work closely with the cross-functional team to identify areas for improvement

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology

• 5 + years of experience in software testing.
• 3+ years of experience as a QA Lead
• QA Lead experience in Agile/Scrum-based projects
• Proven experience in team building and hiring
• The ability to organize, and prioritize activities across multiple projects is essential
• Robust understanding of various types of test strategies and their applicability
• Hands-on background in software development
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Top-level knowledge of test types and strategies: unit, integration, system, performance, stress, etc.
• Experience with IEC 62304 – a significant advantage
• Familiarity with regulations, standards, and guidance for medical devices, including software – advantage
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum as well as the waterfall development process and the implications coming from the regulatory standards
• Excellent Documentation Skills and experience operating under Document Control
• Familiarity with one or more programming languages and environments (e.g., C, Python, JavaScript, SQL, Postman, Selenium)
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Excellent internal communication skills
