R&D Technical Project Manager

Novocure is a global medical device company with R&D based in Haifa. The company is growing quickly as it commercializes TTFields therapy: a novel treatment for aggressive cancers using alternating electric fields.As part of an effort to extend Novocure’s engineering department, we are looking for an experienced R&D technical project manager, to lead the product lifecycle from project initiation to release for production.The jobholder will be responsible for managing all project tasks under Engineering, from project kickoff to transfer to production, including the project plan, setting and monitoring tasks, resources and timelines, and for meeting the design and development procedure by deliverables and milestones.The candidate should have project management experience through a complete product life cycle. He/she should be creative and proactive, to work successfully in a fast-paced environment including multiple platforms and architectures. The individual will work closely with developers, project managers, NPI engineers, QA personnel and other stakeholders throughout executing all project tasks and phases, and tracking/reporting progress and challenges. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define project needs and lead the project through its development lifecycle
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs
• Coordinate internal and third parties/vendors resources for the project different tasks.
• Ensure that all project deliveries are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Responsibility for the design control process of the project and execute of project phase gates.
• Responsibility for communicating project status with the project team and with the management.
• Help to recruit and develop the extended team that will develop and support the project in the future.
• Work with quality assurance and regulatory affairs departments to ensure successful regulatory submission regarding the project.

• BSc or equivalent in engineering

• Experience managing R&D projects in the medical device industry (preferred) or other regulated industry, that includes multi-discipline systems and software driven devices.
• At least 4 years of experience as a development engineer in the field of Software/ Hardware/ Mechanical engineering.
• Team player capable working in a multi-disciplinary environment involving developer engineers, NPI engineers QA, regulatory and others.
• Strong communications skills in both English and Hebrew.
• Strong leadership skills
