Extreme Loads on Structures Lab (ELSL) is a research group at the Technion - Israel Institue of Technology, Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Our mission is to investigate and model the response of structures to extreme loads, such as blast and impact. We use analytical, numerical, and experimental approaches to conduct research on this topic. The lab is led by Dr. Hezi Grisaro ([email protected]).

Role Description

Extreme Loads on Structures Lab (ELSL) is seeking highly motivated individuals for full-time positions as MSc, PhD students, and Postdoctoral researchers. This is an on-site role located in Haifa District, Israel. The main responsibility of the successful candidates will be to conduct research on the response of structures to extreme loads under the direction of Dr. Hezi Grisaro. Other duties include data analysis, paper writing, and presenting research results at conferences.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have a degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or any related discipline.
• Strong knowledge in structural mechanics and dynamics is required.
• Experience with numerical modeling and finite element models, such as ANSYS, Autodyn, or LS-DYNA, is an advantage.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Maple, or Python, is preferred.
