Description And Requirements

As a Leader of Digital Trust Lab, you will be a key member of Lenovo Research management team. You will be responsible for establishing the Digital Trust Lab from the ground up and building the technology capabilities for Lenovo services.

You will lead the development of industry leading core technologies in areas such as security principles and algorithms, fundamental security fields like cryptography and mathematics, and emerging technologies such as Zero Trust and AI, etc. In addition to providing strategic technical directions, knowledge, and insights to the research team, you will drive new research initiatives and manage the lab’s budget and the team to support the overall Lenovo Research strategy.

You wil report to Lenovo CTO, work closely with the leaders from other business groups to guarantee alignment with Lenovo’s long-term strategic goals and collaborations for their successes.

Your responsibility：

• Lead the creation of innovative and visionary directions for selected areas in digital trust, including operating system principles, vulnerability management, cyber offense and defense, cryptography and binary analysis and other emerging technologies; define long-term technical plans and methodologies that will guide the lab toward its objectives.
• Build and lead a world-class technical team of high caliber researchers and engineers in the cyber security space; develop intellectual capital & solve highly complex problems.
• Enhance organization capability by creating and continuously improving organizations, programs, and procedures to support the overall organizational strategy.
• Research and track industry trends; advise executive management on key new opportunities and developments that may affect long-term strategies.
• Develop and own relevant relationships and joint projects with external collaborators in academia.
  
  
  

• Successful candidate needs to be a recognized research leader in the area. He/she should have a proven track record of leading similarly scoped research team before.
• Strategic thinking, strong leadership and project management ability to work cross-functionally with multiple global teams.
• Balanced prior experience across academy pursuits, engineering endeavors, and product commercialization.
• PHD in computer or engineering and/or mathematics discipline.
