Mechanical Engineer

EFI is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Inkjet Business Unit in our Israel office.

Job Description

• Design new products or design improvements on portfolio;
• Collaborate in an R&D Engineering team;
• Manage mechanical tasks in different projects: studying costs, listing specifications, risks, tests required;
• Collaboration with supply chain department in order to cost reductions: looking for new materials, new providers and new workflows;
• Collaboration with manufacturing and quality to design Poka-Yokes and testers for mechanical components found in the products.
  
  

• A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred) or similar/equivalent engineering degree
• 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design @ Solid Works
• Experience with design-for-manufacture
• Knowledge in all aspects of manufacturing tolerances, high precision machining, thermal cycling related to materials selection, and machining operations such as milling, turning, grinding, sheet metal forming, welding, casting, plating
• A proven track record of carrying a design from concept to production
• Experience developing project objectives, schedule, and product performance specifications
• Experience solving mechanical engineering problems at the component and system level
• Skill at creating and maintaining accurate documentation of concepts, designs, drawings, and processes.
