Senior Manager, Algorithms

Novocure is a global medical device company with R&D based in Haifa. The company is growing quickly as it commercializes TTFields therapy: a novel treatment for aggressive cancers using alternating electric fields.We are looking for a highly motivated individual for Senior Manager, Algorithms position who will Supervise and coordinate all activities within a highly qualified algorithms team.The Senior Manager, Algorithms will be someone with very strong scientific credentials who operate with credibility and confidence and be influential in solving problems at the intersection of engineering, physics, and biology, and by bringing a cross-disciplinary approach.Will be a model of a hypothesis-driven approach/mindset to problem-solving to deliver meaningful progress and to communicate/influence key stakeholders.This is a full-time, exempt position, reporting to Director, Treatment Planning and Digital Applications, and will be based in our R&D center, Haifa, Israel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Update and operationalize the team strategy
• Build new capabilities leveraging both internal talent and external expertise as required
• Have strong accountability for results
• Be a strong partner and collaborator to software applications, physics, pre-clinical/science, engineering, medical affairs, publications, and other teams within Novocure.
• T o lead 2 teams of ~10 algorithms developers (2 team leads) developing algorithms related to TTFields therapy in engineering, data science, physics and biostatistics.
• Develop algorithmic capabilities ranging from classic to machine learning and deep learning, in the fields of computer vision as well as data science.
• Strive to create an infrastructure and development practices for algorithms to reduce our development time
• Update the existing strategy of the algorithms team and create a plan to operationalize it, leading the teams to take a significant part in companywide activities.
• Provide scientific expertise to support multiple initiatives while being rooted in strong product-oriented and clinical understanding.
• Provide support for publications, patents and regulatory submissions.

• Qualifications:
• Graduate degree in Computer Science/Electrical/Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge:
• Proven ability to provide leadership to a highly talented team
• 10 years of work experience (7 with PhD) - required. Some experience in academia - advantage.
• 4 years of experience in the medical industry with prior experience managing people - is required.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Hebrew.
