The Role

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes pride in building scalable, resilient systems both from an infrastructure and backend engineering perspective.
You will work side-by-side with a hands-on backend/cloud architect to manage and enhance the infrastructure supporting multiple production services and contribute to backend application logic and performance. From infrastructure-as-code to CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, and backend service optimization, you'll own and optimize critical systems in a modern AWS/Kubernetes ecosystem.

What You'll Do
Design, manage, and scale cloud infrastructure using AWS services (EKS, RDS, IAM, networking, etc.)
Define and manage infrastructure using infra as code tools.
Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
Drive improvements in deployment speed, reliability, and developer experience
Collaborate with the backend team to design, implement, and optimize scalable APIs and services
Contribute to performance profiling, debugging, and reliability of Node.js backend applications
Optimize Kubernetes workloads, including Helm chart management, autoscaling, and policy enforcement
Implement and evolve observability stacks (Prometheus, Loki, Grafana) to ensure high service reliability

Who you are:
4+ years of experience in Infra, DevOps or Backend Development
Deep understanding of AWS cloud services and Kubernetes ecosystem
Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (Pulumi,Terraform or CDK)
Solid experience in backend development, particularly in Node.js and TypeScript
Proficient in Linux systems, containerization (Docker), and debugging networks/systems
Independent, proactive, and clear communicator with a builder mindse
Nice to have:

Experience working on distributed systems or microservice architectures
Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Helm, and Prometheus-based monitoring stacks
Passion for clean, minimal, and well-documented setups
Background in developing secure, high-performance REST or GraphQL APIs
