Embedded Software Technical Lead

Elbit's rockets and missiles engineering department is in an unprecedented momentum. We face challenges in many and varied projects in the ambitious development programs in all areas of development and in the field of software in particular.

We are looking for you – Embedded Software Technical Lead to be a partner in leading the development of significant software packages for a variety of multidisciplinary systems in accordance with the requirements specifications while having a systemic view of subsystems.

Engaging in all stages of development and technical support throughout the life cycle of the product.

Software development for MULTI-THREAD systems in C, C++ languages, in a multi-interface environment, and above real-time operating systems: Linux, ThreadX, DSP BIOS, etc.

Writing code (Full Hands On), performing code review, writing characterization, design and architecture documents for the software components according to the Elbit software development procedure.

Defining the software architecture and interfaces together with the system engineers and architects.



Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science

In-depth knowledge and Experience, at least 7 years, in Embedded SW development

Hands- On Experience with complex multidisciplinary systems (multi-threading environment)

Knowledge and Experience developing on LINUX - User and Kernel space Knowledge and practical experience with low level SW and the interaction with HW devices and processors – Xilinx, TI DSP, NXP processors, Cortex

Solid programming experience, at least 7 years, in C/C++ and python

Proficiency and experience in OOP/OOD development methodologies and Design Patterns

Familiarity with network communication protocols

Strong documentation and writing skills

Solid experience writing development SW documents: SRS, SAD, TLD, SDD VxWorks, Threadex, FreeRTOS, TI CCS, IAR - an advantage

Experience from medical or security companies - an advantage
