Community Intern

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Community Manager Intern for New Israeli Discourse, you will help manage online communities of people who are participating in our programs and content around the world. These communities will champion the work of the Israeli Citizen Spokespersons’ Office in our mission to speak out against hate and to speak up for Israel and the Jewish People.

RESPONSIBILITES

The Community Manager Intern will assist the Director of Social Media and Community in the following areas: 

• Manage the application, selection and onboarding process of online global communities
• Develop content for community meetings to take place over a 12 week period
• Coordinate logistics and scheduling details related to the community meetings and guest speakers
• Monitor community platforms and group dialogue including messages and responding to inquiries

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with managing either online or in-person communities or social media accounts for a brand or organization
• Experience with event management and course curriculum (preferably on university campus)
• Experience in facilitating group discussions and online forums 
• Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
• General understanding of social media platforms 
• Strong English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Availability to work 20 hours per week in our Tel Aviv office including some evening availability
