Senior Algorithm Backend Developer

A fast-growing mobile gaming company headquartered in Tel Aviv is looking for a highly skilled Senior Algorithm Backend Developer to join its expanding team.

The company provides entertainment to millions of users worldwide and is at the forefront of building immersive, skill-based gaming experiences.

This role bridges backend engineering with complex algorithmic challenges at scale - such as player skill estimation for matchmaking, clustering, optimal histogram binning, TrueSkill implementations, and more. The focus is on building production-ready systems (not academic research), handling parallelism, concurrency, multiprocess execution, critical sections, and scalable performance.

Responsibilities

✔ Combine classic backend development with algorithmic problem-solving
✔ Design, implement, and maintain high-performance backend services in C#
✔ Develop and maintain scalable server APIs
✔ Solve mathematical/statistical and concurrency-related performance challenges
✔ Optimize databases and queries over large-scale data
✔ Ensure system scalability, reliability, and efficiency
דרישות התפקיד:
✔ At least 3 years of experience as a Backend Developer
✔ Strong experience with C# and .NET framework – advantage
✔ Solid understanding of algorithms, concurrency, and parallel processing
✔ Hands-on experience with MongoDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL
✔ Strong mathematical and statistical problem-solving skills
✔ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
