About the Company

Finance teams need real-time visibility into their cash, but most still rely on manual spreadsheets to track data across multiple bank accounts. This makes it difficult to understand current cash positions, identify trends, and make confident financial decisions.

This company is building an AI-powered cash management platform that changes that reality. The platform provides finance teams with real-time cash visibility, forecasting, and reconciliation — eliminating manual work and turning fragmented financial data into clear, actionable insights that help businesses operate and grow more effectively.

At its core, the product uses production-grade AI agents to automate complex financial workflows end-to-end — from reasoning and decision-making to executing actions across systems. The focus is on building reliable, observable, and safe AI systems that do real work in real-world financial environments.

What You’ll Do
-Design, build, and own AI agents that automate complex finance and
treasury workflows
-Architect and implement agent orchestration systems for long-running,
fault-tolerant workflows (e.g., using Temporal or similar engines)
-Build and integrate LLM-powered services into our core product with a
strong focus on reliability, cost, and performance
-Develop agent tools and APIs that allow agents to safely interact with
internal systems and external services
-Work hands-on with agent frameworks and help shape internal
abstractions
-Evaluate and select LLM models and providers, understanding tradeoffs
between reasoning models, fast models, cost, latency, and reliability
-Collaborate closely with product, data, and platform teams to ship AI
capabilities to production
-Establish best practices around testing, monitoring, retries, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop patterns for AI agents
-Stay up to date with advances in LLMs, agent architectures, and AI tooling and translate them into pragmatic product improvements

-5+ years of experience as a backend or platform engineer, with ownership
of production systems
-Strong Python experience (3+ years), including building and maintaining
complex services
-Hands-on experience with LLMs and/or building AI agents in production
Experience with agent frameworks such as pydantic-ai, LangGraph,
CrewAI, or similar (or equivalent custom implementations)
-Deep understanding of LLM behavior, including differences between
models, providers, and reasoning vs non-reasoning modes
-Experience designing stateful, distributed systems and APIs
Ability to think in terms of workflows, orchestration, retries, and failure
modes
-Strong engineering judgment, product thinking, and ownership mindset

Nice to Have
-Experience building agent orchestrators or workflow engines using
Temporal (or similar systems)
-Familiarity with AWS and cloud-native architectures
-Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, queues, async rocessing)
-Background in fintech, financial systems, or high-reliability domains
-Experience implementing observability, evaluation, or guardrails for AI
systems
-Exposure to open-source or internal AI infrastructure
