MF Z/OS System Specialist

Administer and manage IBM mainframe operating systems, primarily IBM z/OS, with at least 10 years of experience. Ensure stable, efficient, and secure system operation through proactive maintenance, patching, and resource management.CICS Administration and SupportMaintain and support CICS environments with 15+ years of experience, including region setup, transaction configuration, performance tuning, and integration with backend databases and batch systems. Ensure high availability and reliability of online transaction processing. Software Installation and ConfigurationInstall, configure, and maintain mainframe software products and utilities, ensuring compatibility with IBM z/OS and CICS. Apply performance best practices and version control across development and production environments. System Monitoring and Performance TuningMonitor system and transaction performance, identify resource bottlenecks, and apply advanced tuning techniques to improve throughput, CPU utilization, and response times. Security ManagementImplement and manage security controls in z/OS and CICS environments, including RACF configuration, user authorization, and audit processes to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with security standards. Backup and Recovery
Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery procedures for z/OS and CICS systems, ensuring rapid recovery and business continuity in case of system failures. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution
Diagnose and resolve complex system and CICS-related issues efficiently. Collaborate with development teams and external vendors to minimize downtime and ensure service quality.

• 10 Years of Experience as a Mainframe System Administrator on Operating Systems such as z/OS.
• At least 10 years of experience working in Mainframe Infrastructure teams
• Hands-on experience in at least one of the following: software development, DevOps engineering, systems administration, or systems architecture in public cloud AWS domain
• In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems
• Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce conclusions and responses.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
• Strong process improvement experience
