Role background
Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our food delivery platform.
We’ve grown significantly in Israel in the past few years, expanding our operations to many areas in Israel and to different verticals.
Our Finance team has played a key role in this journey - supporting our Israeli operations and this has been no easy feat, but this group of dedicated and motivated professionals have made it seem effortless, and as we continue to scale, we’re now looking for another Assistant Country Controller to add to this amazing team in Israel.
As an Assistant Country Controller you will be responsible for monthly and annual reporting, project management and other tasks within the finance team.
What makes the Finance team so special is our ‘service first’ approach to the job - we enjoy creating strong communication loops with the wider business, so that bottlenecks are minimised and that things get done quickly and efficiently.
Everybody is accountable for their own workload and takes pride in being meticulous and precise. We also enjoy learning and developing as we go - it’s important that you share this approach! :)
What You’ll Be Doing
- Monthly Financial Statement closing and reporting
- Quarterly Reviewed Financial Statements
- Yearly Audited Financial Statements and tax reconciliation
- Supporting SOX and internal control-related testing and controls
- Analytical review month vs month, actual vs budget
- Assisting with implementing policies
- Monthly and various statutory reporting
- Ad-hoc projects as needed
- Support the business with financial issues
- CPA with 2+ years an assistant controller -Must
- Experience within the Tech Industry - advantage
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills - Must.
- Experience with Netsuite - advantage.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) - Must.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with many changes and challenges.
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving and organization skills.
- A people person who enjoys working as part of a team but also is capable of managing end to end tasks and projects alone. Welcomes new challenges and opportunities
- Independent, self-learning employee
- Outstanding attention to details and excellent time management skills
- Ready to make considerable efforts
