IT and Information Security Lead

Lead our technology and security operations as a combined Head of IT and Information Security.

This dual role requires an experienced professional who can both manage day-to-day IT operations and implement robust security standards to protect our organization's digital assets.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee IT infrastructure including Windows Server environments, Linux systems, networking, endpoint management, and cloud services
Develop and enforce security policies, controls, and procedures to protect company data and systems
Manage AWS cloud resources, security configurations, and related services
Implement security best practices aligned with frameworks like NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC2
Manage user access, authentication systems, and device security policies
Administer Google Workspace environment and related security configurations
Oversee identity management including SSO implementation across enterprise applications
Maintain network infrastructure including VPN, remote access solutions, and Cisco Meraki devices
Administer Jira and Bitbucket platforms for the organization
Manage web hosting and domain administration (DNS, MX records, CNAME, etc.)

Strong experience supporting Windows, Linux, and macOS environments
Proven expertise with Windows Server and Linux system administration
AWS administration skills including security, IAM, and resource management
Network management experience (routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs)
In-depth Google Workspace administration skills
Experience with SSO implementation and management
Demonstrated expertise in Jira and Bitbucket administration
Proficiency with Cisco Meraki administration tools
Experience implementing device management including encryption and BYOD policies
Strong knowledge of VPN configuration and remote access policy development
Domain management experience (registration, DNS configuration)
Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC2
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, Security+)
Experience in defense or government contracting environments
Prior experience with compliance audits and documentation
5+ years in combined IT and security roles
Qualified candidates should have a proven track record of balancing operational IT needs with robust security practices in a dynamic business environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing both on-premises and cloud infrastructure while ensuring appropriate security controls are in place.
