Position Overview:

Cellebrite’s AI Team is seeking a Temporary Data Specialist (maternity leave cover) to support our ongoing projects.

This position, ideal for students or recent graduates, centers on the collection and annotation of data - critical responsibilities within our AI team, that facilitates the preparation of high-quality datasets for AI/ML initiatives.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate independence, attention to detail, and strong motivation, taking full responsibility for assigned data tasks. 

You will collaborate with researchers to iteratively enhance data processes and ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Collection & Preparation – Gather, organize, and input data from various sources (internal databases, external datasets, etc.) for use in research projects. Ensure data is properly formatted and ready for analysis. 
• Data Annotation – Annotate datasets (e.g., text, images, tables etc.) according to defined guidelines and taxonomy, creating structured training data for machine learning models. 
• Work closely with researchers to continuously improve the data collection and annotation process. Incorporate feedback and adjust labeling criteria or collection methods as project requirements evolve. 
• Quality Assurance – Pay attention to details to ensure accuracy and consistency of annotations. Deliver high dataset quality in all deliverables to increase reliability for data analysis and model training. 
• Documentation & Reporting – Maintain clear documentation of data sources, collection methodologies, and annotation guidelines (leveraging tools like Excel or Word). Report progress, findings, and any issues or anomalies to the team in a timely manner. 

• English – fluent (native speaker – advantage). 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and consistency in repetitive tasks. 
• Proficiency in general computer use, including editing text files, navigating the web, managing data downloads, and working with internal tools and spreadsheets, is required. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel for data organization and Word for documentation) is required. 
• Communication – Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to clearly document work and comfortably collaborate with a team of researchers. 
• Ability to work independently, follow detailed instructions, and meet deadlines in a structured workflow. 

Nice To Have:

• Education – Students or recent graduates in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related fields (advantage). 
• Programming/Scripting – Familiarity with Python, command-line tools etc. (advantage)
