Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic VP R&D to lead the Guardian Business Unit’s global engineering organization.

In this role, you will own and scale Cellebrite’s SaaS platform, driving architecture, reliability, scalability, and developer experience for mission-critical systems serving law enforcement and enterprise customers worldwide.

You will lead a large, multi-disciplinary organization of 140+ engineers and managers, define the long-term cloud and platform strategy on AWS, and play a central role in shaping Cellebrite’s next-generation, AI-powered SaaS evolution.

This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a combination of strategic vision, technical depth, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Own and scale the SaaS platform powering Cellebrite’s product portfolio, including end-to-end cloud architecture, infrastructure, and platform engineering
• Lead and grow a global organization of 140+ engineers and managers across applications, platform, research, DevOps/SecOps, DevEx, and SRE
• Define and execute a multi-year cloud and platform strategy aligned with business and product goals
• Drive engineering excellence across CI/CD, enabling fast, safe, and reliable software delivery at scale
• Champion adoption of AI coding agents and GenAI developer tooling to enhance engineering productivity, quality and velocity
• Own platform reliability and observability, including SLAs/SLOs, incident management, and production excellence
• Manage significant cloud infrastructure budgets and strategic vendor relationships, applying FinOps principles for efficiency and scale
• Partner closely with Product, Security, and R&D leadership to ensure platform readiness for future product and regulatory needs
• Contribute as a senior member of the R&D leadership forum, shaping engineering culture, strategy, and operational standards 

• 15+ years of engineering experience, including 8+ years in senior leadership roles managing managers and large-scale organizations (140+ engineers)
• Deep experience building and operating large-scale SaaS platforms on AWS, across compute, storage, networking, containers (Kubernetes/EKS), serverless, and data services
• Proven track record of building and scaling CI/CD systems as a core engineering capability
• Strong cloud-native mindset, with expertise in scalability, resilience, observability, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g.,Terraform), GitOps, and platform engineering practices
• Experience managing large cloud budgets and applying FinOps methodologies
• Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity into business impact
• Strong product mindset, treating internal platforms as products and optimizing developer experience
• Experience building and operating AI agents in production environments on AWS, including orchestration frameworks (e.g., Strands, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI) - Advantage
• Hands-on experience or strategic leadership in adopting AI coding agents (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) across engineering organizations - Advantage
