Data Product Team Leader

We’re looking for a Data Product Team Leader to drive strategic data initiatives, ensure alignment with business objectives, and establish strong data governance frameworks. You will lead efforts to create a single source of truth, enhance data transparency, and integrate user-friendly data products. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key to maintaining data integrity and consistency throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a team of Data Product Managers, providing strategic direction and fostering collaboration.
Oversee execution of data product strategies across business areas, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Drive adoption of best practices in data management, governance, and product development.
Manage key data initiatives, including defining data needs, building a transparent business view, and ensuring a single source of truth.
Oversee development of data conventions, collection requirements, and naming standards across processes and products.
Ensure data products are intuitive, user-friendly, and high-quality, meeting business and user needs.
Facilitate communication between data product managers and cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business).
Work closely with stakeholders to align data initiatives with broader business objectives.
Stay updated on industry trends, data technologies, and best practices in governance and product management.
Analyze data to identify improvements and drive high-quality execution of projects.

Requirements:
6+ years in data product management, data governance, or a related field, with 2+ years in leadership.
Experience leading strategic data projects, defining data needs, and building transparent business views.
Strong understanding of data conventions, collection requirements, and naming standards to ensure data quality.
Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools (Python, R), with knowledge of data engineering and data science.
Experience with data governance tools, frameworks, and emerging data technologies.
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Business, or related field.
