Head of R&D - Well-Funded Implants Company

A well funded implants company is currently seeking a Head of R&D to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage R&D teams, driving innovation and high performance.
- Oversee R&D projects, ensuring alignment with company strategy and quality standards.
- Support Operations/Engineering with DFM, NPI, and manufacturing scalability.
- Develop new IP and contribute to the company's patent portfolio.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Clinical, and Marketing.
- Monitor competitor products and provide strategic insights.
- Support clinical studies and commercial activities as needed.

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Aeronautics – required.
- Master's Degree or MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of managerial experience in medical device product development.
- Proven experience in product transfer to production and commercialization.
- Strong background in Implants, Nitinol, and delivery systems preferred.
- Clinical and research expertise in cardiovascular or structural heart disciplines preferred.
- Experience in both startup and corporate environments preferred.
