Optical Specialist

commercializes Occlusion Spectroscopy based non-invasive monitoring technologies
for the measurement of hemoglobin, oxygen saturation and other blood parameters.
Our products are based on our proprietary SpectOLightTM technology, which enables
accurate measurements of blood parameters even under extreme conditions, by
overcoming key obstacles that hinder the performance of traditional non-invasive
technologies.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optical
Technician/Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong
background in practical optical technology and a passion for precision and quality.
As an Optical Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring the performance and
reliability of our medical device optical systems. Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting optical testing on the production line and for R&D purposes.
* Calibrating and operating optical equipment, with a focus on
spectrophotometers measurements.
* Troubleshooting optical components at various stages of product development.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing and
testing processes related to product optical components.

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform optical testing and calibration of LED matrices and other optical
components using spectrophotometers and JIGS.
* Analyze optical data to ensure compliance with product specifications and
quality standards.
* Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize optical
designs and manufacturing processes.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to optical components and
measurement systems.
* Maintain and operate optical testing equipment, including spectrophotometers
and other measurement tools and JIGs.
* Conduct practical work in the optical laboratory, including setup and
alignment of optical experiments.
* Document test results, procedures, and troubleshooting activities accurately
and thoroughly.
* Assist in the development and implementation of new optical testing protocols
and methodologies.
* Stay updated on the latest advancements in optical technologies relevant to our
field.
* Provide training and guidance to team members on optical testing procedures
and best practices.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. A
Master’s degree is a plus.
* Proven experience (3-5 years) in optical testing, preferably within a medical
device or high-tech manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in using spectrophotometers and other optical measurement tools.
* Strong understanding of LED technology and optical principles.
* Hands-on experience with optical alignment, calibration, and troubleshooting.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
environment.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Preferred Skills:
* Familiarity with medical device manufacturing standards and regulations.
* Experience with optical simulation software
* Knowledge of statistical process control and quality assurance methodologies.
